'It's easy to recycle at work!'

That's the message from Hart Builders (Edinburgh) Ltd., who recently started workplace recycling with LEEP Recycling.

Hart, a works, construction and development company based on the Macmerry Industrial Estate in Tranent, now regularly recycles paper, confidential paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, cans and printer cartridges with LEEP Recycling.

The initiative is proving so successful that Hart recently had to change from a fortnightly to a weekly recycling collection to keep up with the demand from environmentally enthusiastic staff!LEEP Recycling has recently expanded its services to cover East Lothian.

The Edinburgh-based social enterprise ran a campaign to encourage organisations located on industrial estates and business parks, to recycle at work. The campaign was funded by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) and is supported by Waste Aware Business.

The four estates targeted were:

Inveresk Industrial Estate
MacMerry Industrial Estate
Fisherrow Industrial Estate
Wallyford Industrial Estate

Businesses signing up for the service can collect their materials for recycling in 1100 litre bins or attractive desk-high collection boxes for smaller quantities of materials.

Hart's Administration Manager, Hannah Watson, said:
'It was really easy to get started with LEEP Recycling and staff have been very supportive of the scheme. We have doubled the amount of material we are recycling and it's good to know that we are helping to protect the environment.'

Anne Ross, Business Development Officer at LEEP Recycling, added:
