Waste Aware Tourism
Do you have a business in the Cairngorms National Park area?
Would you like to be involved in an exciting new campaign to encourage businesses and visitors to reduce, reuse and recycle?

Waste Aware Scotland and the Cairngorms National Park Authority are launching a new 'Waste Aware Tourism' campaign in October 2008 and we need your business to help it succeed. The main aim of the campaign is to encourage businesses in the Cairngorms National Park area to boost awareness amongst tourists and employees of waste-related issues. This will help to meet the National Park Plan objective of working towards achieving 'zero waste' and to reduce, reuse and recycle more.
As a business in the National Park, there are two simple ways you can be involved in the campaign:
- Providing information about the available reuse and recycling facilities in your area to visitors, tourists and employees. To assist with this we have produced an information leaflet which can, for example, be placed in guest information packs.
You will be able to obtain hard copies of the leaflet from the Park Authority and download additional copies via this website from October onwards.
- Using the free poster-creator tool on our website to create awareness raising posters that will encourage your guests and staff to use the reuse and recycling facilities within your business premises. This tool will be available on the website from October 2008 but we would be more than happy to show you a sample in advance if you contact us directly.
To register your interest in this campaign, or for further information, please contact us.
